The short shifter improved the shifting feel so much, but the only drawback is that it rattles when you're over 4,500rpm. Still, the positives are way better, it was cheap, you can shift now, fast.
And i like the style it gives.

Plus, the rattling is cool :)
Mine doesn't rattle, but when you accelerate with your hand on it, you can feel it pull to the right, and when you shift on half throttle, you can feel the gears "pulling" the lever into position.

Right, it feels awesome, it also makes a cool noise when you shift... like, when you get it into gear.

My dad has the billet one (came with the car) and, oh so ironically, he used some rifle oil to fix the rattle on his. Not sure the type, but it was hard to find, and you do get an odd look when you ask for it. Mostly because it's some automatic weapon lube. I'll get back to you with the details when he gets home.

Oh yeah, the noise... Mine does that as well, both from the shifter and the gearbox, and you can actually hear the latter with the windows open. It's a smooth K-Tlack noise coming from the bottom of the car when a gear goes in like it should!

Every time you post about your car, the want grows...

It happened with a friend also, his want growed, and then his parents got him a manual GT 2013 lol. Mine is a 2008 V6. The car will give you a great feeling every time you go for a drive. As some people in oppo say. Smiles per miles.
